question time (i.e. I should be sleeping now, but talk to me instead)

I'm curious - what has been your worst fanfiction reading experience? And I'm not talking the basic clicking on a story, seeing horrible formatting, and clicking back; I'm talking a fanfiction you would have read, but there was one or more glaring details that were SO WRONG that you had to give up.

Mine was a Harry Potter fic where Harry lost his arm. It was really well written, but I seriously could not get past the fact that Harry had no arm! At one point I skipped to the end to see if they magic-ed it back on, so I could read on knowing that it wouldn't last forever, but no - in the last chapter, he had a plastic arm that was giving him blisters while he was trying to hold his child. HE STILL HAD NO ARM. It's not so much the armlessness as the fact that it was Harry Freaking Potter that had no arm. Hasn't he been through enough emotional damage? Does he really need to start losing appendages as well?

Yeah, I still don't think I'm over that one...
