so talking to a transfer advisor at my school a few months back, he made it sound like this MnCAP, which is basically an agreement between the U and schools that the student will have guaranteed admission, is already included if im a transfer student ( Read more... )

the U doesn't care if you've finished the mncap. it's just set up so that you know what classes fulfill what requirements & guarantees that whatever you took will transfer over some kind of credit. i didn't finish it at mctc & obviously i got into the u fine. it just means you may have a couple generals left to finish at the u which would not be a big deal. :)

ps - there is absolutely nothing that guarantees admittance to the U that i'm aware of...the agreement is just for transfering of credits (making sure you get credit for what you did at the CC instead of saying it doesn't count as anything at the U)

ok so i looked up this thing. weird, never heard of it, i was thinking of the transfer program. but looking at the details of the program, your major isn't eligable for it :( only housing studies from the college of design can do it.
