Am in a much better mood than I was last week...had a lovely weekend with Ian. Spent Saturday covering all the wild ratty tunnel entrances to the garage with chicken wire and weighing it down with bricks which seems to have thwarted Mr Furry so far. Nice lens :) congrats! I'm looking for a good ultra wide when I get the D700, not after one before that, the 18-135 does the trick for now. The one you're getting wouldn't be much good for me because if I'm not much mistaken it's DX isn't it? Am looking at the Sigma 10-24 as it's supposed to be excellent - but then, part of me would rather a prime 16mm Nikon. Hmm... decisions. We've not picked an easy hobby here :D

Yeah, 17-55mm is DX so not much cop if you're going full frame. Thought you were saving for a Hasselblad? :P

Pfft - I wish! No - am keeping on for the D700 - maybe one day I will be able to shar my life with a 'blad - but until then, I will have to settle for normal person cameras *rofl*
