I loved the logbook we found in the cupboard so much, I thought it deserved to be shared with a wider audience. And some parts are so terribly Chalet School that I quite felt my worlds were colliding.

This particular book was from 1933. I suspect there are loads more lurking in the bomb shelter/archives, but I didn't get to play there.

It was written by Dora Philips, who stayed at the Chalet from July 3rd to 16th. I couldn't find any details of who she was, or why she was visiting.

The illustrations are so perfectly GO, they could actually be lifted from an Abbey book.

There are some super photos. Yoga on a precipice, anyone?

Knitting socks!

Fun with horns.

It's all very much how I imagine the expeditions in the early Chalet stories.

Every so often, I would turn the page, and find lovely water colours. A proper ladylike accomplishment.

This post is getting awfully long, so I shall put Dora's account of her holiday into another post in a minute. She had an awesome time, and I loved reading it all.
