General rule of thumb is the amount of light in a room will dictate how light/dark the paint color should be. If you have little to no windows/natural light, keep the color light. If you have a ton of natural light you CAN (doesn't mean you have to) go darker. I like to keep thing neutral, but that is me. Neutral is key for resale (no one wants a house with crazy colors). But, I assume you all will be in this house for a long time so that shouldn't be an issue. Like I said, I like neutrals: light tan or khaki color. Almost our whole house is painted that color. We have a lot of brown woodwork/trim in our house & I like that it goes well with that. Another hot color right now, that I've learned from HGTV & Pinterest is called "greyige" (I may have spelled that wrong). It is a cross between grey & beige. Again, very neutral. I'd look at what color your woodwork (any built ins?) or trim is. If it's brown, I'd go with something that compliments it. A lot of people like grey too. Apparently it's the new beige (and now I guess greyige is

My comment was almost longer than your post...haha!!!
Good luck with your Medieval Tower...LOL. Yes Sy will def need a tree fort or a swingset (you've got experience building those now! LOL). Have fun! I am jealous that you have so much land to play with/build on!!! I might also suggest (which I'm sure Nik is already thinking of this) to make a garden! :) Obv, you'd have to keep the livestock out of it, so that might be a little challenge. What is the first livestock purchase you'll make? Chickens? a Goat? A horse? Which animals are on the list that you'll have? Maybe you should get a cow too. :) Love you guys!!!!!!!
Sounds like you all are hard at work getting the house all ready!! We are super excited for you all. Love all the land, love the house, and we're excited for this fun adventure for you all.
