NOT JUST ANYBODY! HELP! I REALLY NEED SOMEONE! HEEEEELP!

Ahem, now that I've got that out of my system, I really could use a bit of advice. :/

Okay, so there is a very nice member over at beatlesslash named skylarlennon who's been writing a sort of parody of The Little Mermaid, replacing Disney's characters with the Beatles. It's extremely adorable, and I do love it,

I can't imagine the writing style being similar, things like that are (mostly) unique based on word choice and thoughts. The stories (from what you say) have enough difference between them that I can't see it matter.

Just because the premise is the same doesn't mean that everything that happens in the story is the same. The beginning and the end is the same, but from what I gather from the post, the middle isn't really (but you didn't really touch upon that so I could be mistaken).

However, if you have any hesitation, maybe it's better to be safe than sorry and not post it for now.

Did I ever tell you that you're, like, my bestest friend EVAR?! (don't tell Larissa I said that, ahaha :'D) This really helped me alot. I think I'm going to wait a bit before posting, though; the comm doesn't really need more than one mermaid story at a time, I think. :3

Yay, I'm glad it did<3 And if you think that's the best decision, go for it. I agree with you, maybe you should wait for a little bit (maybe a month or two?) when you're a little more comfortable with it.

pssssh the anime fandom can be really strange sometimes (although I think every fandom has its share of weirdness). It's not the weirdest thing I've ever heard/seen, don't worry xD
