sourdough bread is the best.

and thats really the only noteworthy thing in this post. otherwise there are a few general updates. my math class. my dog. work. cooking.

- got a 3.8 in my summer math class, and got credit for math lab.

this is notable because i wasnt sure i would get credit for it. I had one hour to go which i planned to get on finals day, studying before my test. i took off from work and everything to go there, and actually would have had 2-3hrs that day, but when I got to the lab I saw that those jerks closed at 10am. Bah!! I guess it sorta makes sense, because the majority of students would probably already be in class by then, but what about us evening students? more importantly, there was no notification given that the center would close so early (normally open until 3pm, and I got there at 11am). I had asked TWICE before if they would be open that day and was told "yes" both times. I asked at the beginning of the quarter so I could plan my mlc schedule, and I also asked the week before the end of quarter just to confirm I'd be able to get my last hours in. I was never told "yes we will be open in the morning then closing super early at 10am" Also I had been at the lab two days before and there was no sign or anything posted. So I was of course extremely pissed that I was potentially not going to get math lab credit due to a one hour shortage (despite spending 19 other hours there all summer) all because they apparently decided to close early. so i fired off an angry (but civil) email to the department head about it. i never got a response but at least they passed me, so whatever.

definitely the highest grade ive gotten in a math class. too bad it was math 80, haha. hope i can do pre-calc this fall, but im not very optimistic about being able to come up with money for tuition.

- tanner threw up on hexar's carpet for the second time last night.

its not unusual for him / for dogs to vomit from time to time, but he hasnt thrown up at home in a long time. months. it sucks that he is doing it when we are at hexar's and not only do i feel super bad about it, but it also makes me not want to bring him over there. but if i dont bring him, then thats way less time i can go over there. which is no good either :( i was there the last two nights but now i have to go back over there with some cleaner which is annoying because i wasnt planning to drive back over there for a couple nights. dogs argh.

today is just kind of annoying. it was cloudy all morning but at least the sun is coming out now. work calls were frustrating most of the day (lots of "not interesteds", and 55 calls in before an enrollment), but by the end of the day things were back on track.

a couple good things so i dont end on such a whiny note:

- totally still loving bookrenter.com !! packed my mathbook up and took it to a ups drop off (freeee) during my break at work. awesomesauce service for sure! cant wait to take more classes and use it for more textbooks, lol. :)

- my dog may suck, but i turned it into something good. I told Hexar I would come over and make him dinner to make up for the dumb dog, since I had to come over to clean it anyway. He happily accepted, and I made a super yummy pretty impromptu dinner. I'm so proud of myself for being able to do that now! I remember far too clearly sitting in the kitchen crying because a simple recipe would just overwhelm me to death. Now I can cook cook cook anytime and its a piece of cake. Basically. :)

I bought tortellini and pesto sauce (id have made my own sauce if i had more time (it was 830pm by the time i was heading to his place), but I also didnt want to lug my food processor over to his place). i sliced thin strips of pepperoni to add and mixed it up. I intended to have onion too, but when I cut into my onion I saw that it was bad :( no bueno. So onion was nixed, but tortellinis were still delicious. to make it more of a dinner, i also sliced tomatoes and topped them with a bit of parmesean, sauteed in butter the half bag of fresh spinach I had left (mmmmm!) and added sourdough bread. I hated sourdough bread when I was a kid, and I have no idea why. I was SO DUMB. sourdough bread is pretty much my favorite now - so damn delicious! anyway, talk about a full plate! and now i have a very full belly. i am also proud that i am so good at always incorporating fruits/veggies into the meals I make. I never leave them out and they are usually my fave part (unless there is crusty sourdough to nom on).
