So I found out last week my sister is pregnant. It wasn't planned, but she and her boyfriend are very excited about the new addition to their family. This is her first child, but she has always said she wanted to have a few kids. I can totally relate to this, and have had to bite my tongue or apologize profusely when I let such comments slip. I love kids, but never even thought once about the possibility of actually having/adopting one myself. As far as growing up? It's completely optional. You can be a really mature kid with a really big bank account. :D

Yay! I am not alone. Like you, the thought has never even entered my mind. I am happy for my friends who are parents, and I am sure if I had a child I would fall in love with it, but that really isn't a road I want to go down.
