Election Day is less than one month away. Democrats are getting ready for their victory day. Victory is, exactly, what it looks like they are going to have. As far as being fiscally conservatives, the Republicans blew it majorly in another area--the budget. Clinton had us on track for a balanced budget, and I know you can cite 9/11 recovery efforts as a need for adjusted spending (I may or may not concede other spending "needs" the Republicans have deemed necessary), but tax cuts weren't the right answer. Tax cuts were a political ploy and not what was smart for the nation.
If I were to put myself in any of the categories of conservativism you mentioned, it would be fiscal conservativism (though I am for social some spending), and I'm sorry, but the Republicans blew their chance there too.
Unfortunately for the cause of a legislative changeover, I live in a blue district, so the Democrats won't be gaining any seats through my efforts.

I just hope that this potential takeover wakes the Republicans up, cause I don't think the Democrat ideas will work in general, they need to comethrough on their their promises. The GOP blew a huge oppertunity having both houses and the presidency.
