"It's nice to finally meet you, Matsumoto-san," Kazunari sat down in front of Jun at a booth; he smirked when the other just stared at him, then joked, saying that he's taken already and to stop gawking. The smug look he had on his face disappeared when Jun started laughing.
"So," Jun began. "Are you convinced that I'm real now or what?"
"Oh I'm convinced, all right," Kazunari said. "So you're meeting Masaki tomorrow."
Jun nodded. "Well, yeah. But I still don't get why you asked-forced-me to come here and meet you."
"Man, you two are idiots. I expect better from you, J." he rolled his eyes then leaned against the edge of the table, making Jun lean back on the booth; eyebrows furrowed. "Look,"
Kazunari whipped out his phone then opened his chatbox with Masaki (still unreplied), showing it to Jun. The model eyed the phone, reading the last message Masaki had sent, arching an eyebrow afterwards at Kazunari. He then proceeded explaining what Masaki meant, smirking when he saw the look on Jun's face.
"You know, Masaki and I can sort out... things... our way." said Jun. "Is that the reason why you wanted us to meet?"
"Well if it's you, I won't have any problem. But Masaki... man, he's my best friend but he can be slow," he said. "He didn't even realize how the guy I'm dating was interested in him when he first started working in our school!" he continued, grabbing a menu and flipping through it. "But of course that was years ago. Sho gave up on him, and eventually fell for yours truly."
Kazunari glared at Jun when he snickered, then ordered something, waiting for the waiter to leave before speaking again. "Look. Don't you think it'd be better if you just tell him that you have the hots for him?"
Jun hesitated for a moment, clearing his throat. "Don't you think it'd be better if he knew when we meet? He's not even sure of his feelings! He might back out of this if I tell him now-"
"-or he might finally get his shit together!" this silenced the other, folding his arms over his chest as Kazunari continued. "Here's a story for 'ya, J: Masaki, ever since you followed him on Instagram, has been... way bubblier than ever! Heck, he almost knocked down my water bottle the first time you flirted-oh shut up it was flirting!-and he, though it gets annoying sometimes, always checks his phone during breaks just to see if you messaged him or commented on something."
"Why are you doing this, Ninomiya-san?"
"Because," Kazunari took a sip of his drink that had just arrived before continuing, "I want Masaki to be happy, alright?"
"Don't you think it'd be better if he were the one to tell that to me?"
"Don't you think it'd be better if you were the one to tell him first?"
"I don't want to jeopardize our friendship." Jun sighed, looking out of the window. Kazunari was staring at him, eyebrows furrowed. He clicked his tongue in annoyance before drinking his beverage.
"Well if you're alright with just being friends with him, why not?" he said before taking another sip of his drink and then getting up. "I guess it's all up to you two. Gotta go." Kazunari took one last look at Jun before exiting the shop, leaving the other to pay for his drink.
Heaving a sigh, Jun pulled his phone out then opened the Instagram app, scrolling through his feed for a few minutes before tapping on the camera icon to take a picture of the view from outside the window, typing in the caption "Summer is about to end." And two minutes later, his phone vibrated then lit up, showing a notification from Masaki.

"Where were you?" Masaki asked Kazunari once he entered the faculty. It was past five, and thankfully no one but him noticed the other teacher's absense for a few hours. "You were away since 2 PM! I had to go to your class and-"
"I was with Sho,"
"Sho's right there!" pointed Masaki at the said man near the back of the room, busy typing away on his laptop. He heard Kazunari curse under his breath then sat down on his chair, which was beside Masaki's. The older male kept asking questions and Kazunari snapped at him before going back to his lesson plan.
"Were you with Ohno-san?" asked Masaki in a hushed tone, leaning closer to Kazunari. The latter looked surprised, but immediately glared at his co-teacher before answering that he wasn't.
"So did you talk to Jun?" Kazunari cleared his throat, relieved that his question had changed the topic. Masaki said that he and Jun talked a little in the comments of his recent Instagram post, causing Kazunari to beat Jun up in his mind. A sigh left his lips, remembering what he had said back at the shop; he merely nodded then went back to work.
"I feel nervous for tomorrow," Masaki blurted out hours later. The other staff already went home for the day, leaving Kazunari and him there, though the other was getting ready to leave. They met gazes and Kazunari sighed, asking him if he were nervous-nervous or nervous-excited.
"Both."
"Masaki," Kazunari chuckled at his friend then sat back down on his chair.
"Ugh. Nino, sometimes he just-ah, I don't know," Masaki pouted at his own lesson plan before speaking again. "Jun says these things... like he's flirting but... he's not..."
Kazunari was silent for an awful while. Clearing his throat, he grabbed his backpack, slung it over his shoulder, then said: "Make up your damn mind, Masaki." before leaving. Masaki watched as his friend left the faculty room, then, despite him finishing everything he needs for the week, he went through it again. Just so he has something to do. It was past midnight when he checked his phone again. He tapped on the Instagram app and as he refreshed his feed, he was greeted by a picture of Jun. A selfie of him with the caption "33. #hbd"
Masaki smiled to himself then immediately double-tapped on the photo to like it, but didn't get to type in a comment because of Jun's sudden message.

"Masa-chan,"
Masaki turned around to face the source of the voice. A smile appeared on his face as Sakurai Sho approached him, though he was confused why his co-teacher was still there. Didn't he go home hours ago?
"Sakurai-san," he mumbled. "Why are you still here? I thought you left hours ago!"
"Do you have a moment?" asked Sho. Masaki nodded and was guided to the nearby bench. They both sat down and were silent for a few seconds.
"Is there anything wrong, Sho-chan?" Masaki looked at his friend, feeling slightly nervous as the thought of he and Kazunari breaking up came into mind. A relieved sigh left his lips when the other just apologized for not telling him that they were dating. Masaki smiled, gently punching Sho on the shoulder before telling him that it's okay, that he just somehow found out about it.
"You two have been pretty obvious over the past few days," he smiled then added. "at least Nino was."
This made Sho laugh, nodding in agreement. He told Masaki that he and Kazunari had been going out more, which surprised Masaki since his other friend isn't the type to want or be alright to go out much. He commented how gutsy they both are, and that he admires them for that.
"I might transfer to a new campus," Sho said.
"Eh? Because of you and Nino? Sho, that's n-"
"That, and Kitagawa-sensei told me the other day that our other campus needs more teachers. Since Summer classes are almost over..."
"Stay." said Masaki, frowning slightly. "Does Nino know about this?"
"No. Don't tell him, alright? I'm still not sure if I'll accept the offer or not." a sigh left the man's lips, looking down at his hands as he fiddled with his fingers.
"Anyway," Sho looked at him again. "You're still not sure about this J guy?"
"How did you..."
"Kazu told me."
Masaki started laughing, although forced, then looked at anywhere but Sho. The realization hit him that he's meeting Matsumoto Jun in less than fifteen hours. "Masaki, I don't want to be like Kazu and stress you out about this but, do you at least find the guy, uh, nice?"
"Nice?" Masaki arched an eyebrow at him, the corner of his lips curving up to a smile. "Of course I do. We've been talking for a while now and-" his sentence was cut off by Sho, telling him that he knew what he meant by "nice". Masaki's smile faded.
"To be honest, yeah I do. From the first time I saw his picture!" he let out an exasperated sigh. "But this is just lust, right?"
"In a way, yeah. Do you just find him attractive?"
"This conversation makes it sound like I'm some sort of highschool girl, Sho-chan." Masaki glared at his friend for snickering. The topic about him and Jun was over after that. Because Sho knew the answer by looking at Masaki's expression.
"Say, Sho-chan," he began. "Why did you ask me to dance back at the club instead of Nino?"
"Well he was busy with Ohno." replied Sho rather bitterly, then denied being jealous when Masaki pointed it out. The two teachers spent a few more minutes of talking before separating outside of the school campus. Sho wished him good luck, and he merely chuckled as he waved goodbye at his friend. But before the other turned to the corner, Masaki yelled out: "I do see him that way." Sho just looked at him, waved, then disappeared.

The train Masaki was on arrived at the station moments later. He took a deep breath before stepping out, passing through crowds of people going in and out of the said train. His heart was beating fast inside his chest as he looked around the station, his phone was, unfortunately, dead so he has to look around for his friend by himself and hope that they do find each other. The time read that it was only 4:36 PM, but Masaki was hoping that the other was there already.
"Masa-chan!" called out a voice that felt so familiar though it was his first time hearing it. Comparing how Sho called him that just the night before and how Jun called him just now-he prefers the latter. A lot more.

The train Masaki was on arrived at the station moments later. He took a deep breath before stepping out, passing through crowds of people going in and out of the said train. His heart was beating fast inside his chest as he looked around the station, his phone was, unfortunately, dead so he has to look around for his friend by himself and hope that they do find each other. The time read that it was only 4:36 PM, but Masaki was hoping that the other was there already.
"Masa-chan!" called out a voice that felt so familiar though it was his first time hearing it. Comparing how Sho called him that just the night before and how Jun called him just now-he prefers the latter. A lot more.
