The only time I'll ever support a theory of "the creator ruined the story" is with George Lucas and the prequels. Because I think that was so based on making and using money that it's not even on par with his original work.
I *knew* she was going to kill off a twin. Also, dammit, my theories were all SO CLOSE and yet so far.
I was betting that: (a) the Grey Lady was Rowena Ravenclaw (b) the last horcrux would be a wand, which was part of four items making up the Deathly Hallows and (c) Snape was in love with Lily.
