Why not just use a fraction of the adult med? If it's the same thing, just reduced according to body weight... I know the pills may be unevenly balanced when broken in half 30% in one, 70% in the other, but then just grind it's bitch ass up, divide on a gram scale and hide it in juice. Viola - kids dose. S'what I did for small animal meds all the time.

acet. and ib are fing nasty. no juice could hide that. the obnoxiously sweet crap they do put it in doesn't hide it well. i (not terribly recently) had a handfull of swedish fish in my pocket and i threw in 3 liquid caps of IB cuz i was working on a headache. walking into work, i forgot which pocket was which. commence gagging and spitting.

small animals are one thing but knowing that if you fuck up, your kids liver or kidneys are toast = not so great. not SO much worry when they are bigger, but when your kid is 20 pounds, there's little room for error. i don't trust my skills that much.

I wouldn't get creative with a tiny baby dose, no, but an older kid sure. Over 5? You bet.
