I saw your post on engaged life and wanted to look a bit closer. It seems that we have a lot in common. My fiance is from Michigan and I am from Pennsylvania...he lived with me for a little while but missed his family...I also lost a great job (it was outsourced) so we moved here to Michigan. I went from making $30,000/year to $7.00/hour

Where in Pennsylvania are you from? I was, for the most part, raised in Bucks County and went to school in the Lehigh Valley. How long have you been in Michigan, and do you like it there? My big problem with Illinois is that I miss my East coast. Seriously, though. People are different in the Midwest; they say things like "pop" instead of "soda" here. Have you felt able to fit in with your fiance's preexisting life in Michigan, and more importantly, have you been able to make your own separate life?
I grew up in Willow Grove, but after my parents got divorced (when I was 13), we moved to Chalfont. I went to Germantown Academy--hated it socially but liked it otherwise. I went to college in Maryland, moved back to Bucks County, and got an awesome job in publishing in center city
