Batfic: A Typical Holiday

Happy Father's Day, everyone! :D

In celebration, I - of course - had to write some fic. And in doing so, I finally realized what the problem with this fandom is: WAY TOO MANY POSSIBLE PLOT BUNNIES FOR FATHER-FOCUSED STORIES. *headdesk*

Seriously, I had so many ideas for this Father's Day fic, from angsty to fluffy to smutty (yes, smutty, now hush)

But I like Jason :/ But I agree, poor Jason. He's very very angsty. Also, agreed - pre-reboot is far more fun.

And God, I love this. Cheery Bat-family goodness! What's not to like! And Alfred gets a kiss! :O

I like Jason, too! But it was hard to feasibly fit him into the festivities without pulling in too much angst. Alas. He'll get another story of his own eventually. *pets him*

Yay I loved it. And you answered my questions before I even asked. The first was what about the commish and Babs and you answered and the other was about where is Jason. I'm going to pretends that Jason was on his way there or in the bathroom or something. Idk. Love the story. Happy Fathers Day. It's for everyone including people who just want to say have a good time with your loved ones and be happy.

Today was weird for me because not only did we celebrate dad day it's my grandmas Bday so we had cake and ice cream and we celebrated fathers day with my grandpa, and my uncles. Really this holiday is just to celebrate the men that care for you in your life. As we saw in the fic. : )

Yes! Like you, I see Father's Day as a celebration of any paternal figure in your life, even if they're not related by blood. Hence why the Batfamily is so fitting!

And I have a sneaking suspicion that Jason is spying through the window and will drop off his gifts for Alfred and Bruce later, in secret. Or something. Poor baby. *pats him*

Also, can I just smish you for being so wonderful and positive and adorable? Because you are. Seriously. You make me smile and blush and you are far, far too good to me but I love it and your comments always make my day and uguuu. *smishes you* ♥ ♥ ♥

This fic helped me to realize how much I love the girls and need to write them more! Cass is precious, and I basically picture any situation involving both Steph and Dick to be full of sunshine and rainbows (hence the butter knife fight). And Babs is, of course, wonderful.

I really am sad I couldn't include Jason, but I have a feeling he'll be getting his own fic soon to make up for his absence here. *pats him*

I've actually been tempted to read some Marvel, too. It can't hurt anything but my wallet, right? But I'm glad this silly little story has helped you with your DC issues! I figure we've been through worse in the past, and in fandom, anything goes. ;D

I really want to read Cass's run in Batgirl, but I haven't the slightest idea where to start!
