I'm still working on a couple of the other prompts I promised to tackle, but I had the sudden urge to write wee!Dick again and was inspired by a gorgeous, heart-wrenching song ("I'll Just Have to Wait" by Steven Curtis Chapman) used in a video montage of soldiers surprising their loved ones (which made me bawl like a baby), so... this is what came

Oh, my goodness! What a PERFECT little story! *squees*

You've nailed each character's personality 100%, m'dear! Dick missing Bruce and clinging to him upon his return, asking for at least a goodbye next time, Bruce surprised that Dick had been sleepless with worry, and Alfred worrying and letting Bruce know in calm words (I'm glad you included Bruce's training years which must have been hell for poor Alfred).

Aww for the boys asleep on the couch! Bruce is learning about his Little Bird's needs and how important he really is. :)

And yes, I figure those years of Bruce's training would have been torture for poor Alfred. At least he has Dick to keep him company now! And Alfred and Dick are going to try and teach Bruce how important he is. Through hugs. ;)

It was such a wonderful character moment that Bruce had no clue that Dick had been missing him. His first thought was that his little one had been sick, and seemed so surprised when Alfred told him the real reason.

Oh, Bruce, you are worth something, not just the Batman!

I'm really glad you enjoy all of my fluff, because I have waaaay too much fun writing wee-affectionate!Dick, flustered-at-affection!Bruce and protective!Alfred. So no worries. I will probably never change.

PS: I read Young Avengers: Dark Reign a little while ago, and it's nowhere near as enjoyable as the regular title and Civil War. Made me sad.

But at some point I'm going to write a comic flail-post that will include YA: Civil War, YA Presents, and some miscellaneous other things, so I'll leave my actual ranting until then!
