Wow. I know it, obviously, has texture. But the dynamics of the colors interacting really makes things pop. It's like you've magically connected happy spheres of color together, or something. What a magical blanket!
It was one of those things where I played with the color patterns until everything clicked. Wife and son were consulted, but mostly the inner logic prevailed.
Various extra squares that didn't get incorporated MIGHT show up in a another blanket for my bed. I can see other ways to make the pattern play out with new and different results. We'll see what my neck and shoulders say about that.
The orange is REALLY BRIGHT. Small son has a bright orange outfit he adores and it looks sad and dim next to the lurid glory of his blanket.
