Scared the fuck out of me & our neighbour, and Jai in the kitchen didn't notice a thing! I guess our kitchen is a nice solid place to be, then...

It scared Lee. Me and Bear just raced to see if the geoscience australia website was down :)

I checked the internet *after* I'd made Jai go under the house to check we hadn't lost a stump, or something. Big shaking here - all the pictures & mirrors were rattling against the walls, and some stuff fell off shelves in the hallway. But no car alarms or barking dogs, so I wasn't sure if it was just us!

We had an accident this morning - and by accident I mean critical containment failure on the fishtank. Which meant 80lt of water went down the heating duct. So turning on the heater was an issue of some concern this evening. Lee was afraid the heather had blown up. We got a strong vibration and a deep rumble - but not shaking pictures level.

Anyway - I'm reclaiming your fishtank from Fi and keeping my fish in it - I hope you don't mind :)

It cracked our driveway here in Glen Waverley. Won't be able to tell how badly until morning, but one of the cracks looks to be approx. 2m long.

My parents in Gippsland say that their house almost came off the stumps. They're also waiting for morning so they can inspect for damage (they're about 40min from the epicentre).
