Well, it's only for a short time, so ganbatte! ^^

And I've worked for a call center during my university time. Didn't like it, but what can you do? -_-

That sucks! :(
Why exactly did you take that job again?
Do you need money so badly although you've already lined up a job in Japan?

Well, rest assured that if you do say anything embarrassing on the phone, I'm saying something embarrassing on the phone at my job, too. :p But I'm assuming since you take orders you're probably not going to get super rude people like I do, and you're the one being called. I hate call OUT centers, I never want to work at one again. That said, customer services becomes second nature after a while. At my jobs I've always gotten into a routine thing where I say the same thing for every call or customer.

It's Pottery Barn, right? I'm not even sure where in town is 2+ hours, unless you're taking the bus? Where is it? I'm already thinking about where I might apply for full-time work around the time I graduate in about a year.

the first two weeks is sales training just because EVERYone starts out with that, but after that everything will be customer service. i'm alright at customer service... i've done it for years before. it's just the phone part that i really hate. i'd rather deal with someone who's pissed off face-to-face than just talking to them over the phone. actually, the very first phone call i got at this job was someone who was pissed off to start off with and then /i/ had to be the barer of bad news because someone else told them something incorrect. i HATE that!

it's in Summerlin, literally just up the road from where Charleston & Lake Mead end because they run into mountains/desert and yeah, i take the bus..... i couldn't have picked a further place from home to work, eh? -_- the saving grace is that the place is actually nice to work at.

thanks. :) actually, the majority of the ppl i've dealt with thus far have been customers with the company for at least a decade and so are totally confident in what they want and how they're going to get it lol. it's interesting dealing with such people....
