Adorable! Congrats! I would totally name a hedgehog Sonic or something lame and stereotypical like that lol. Or Mr Snuffles or something. I would love to have a pet sometime but my apartment is against pets and will fine you heavily if you get one. And yes they WILL come into your apartment randomly, for example if you get a package they'll put it inside your place, or they will come in for maintenance. So unfortunately it would be very impossible to hide a pet here (plus I really want a cat, which isn't easy to hide). In the end i think I will just have to wait til I get a more sedentary lifestyle because right now I am hardly ever home on weekends.

You know that pets aren't allowed in most appartments. They certainly aren't in mine, but I recently spotted a cat on a neighbor's balcony. If they can do it, I could do, I thought. But, of course, I won't. Not now! ;) I'm moving soon anyways.
I know next to nothing to hedgehogs, but they're so cute!!! ^____^

Have you seen the anime or manga "Silver Spoon", I think it shows a respect for animals as well as offering insight into rural Japan and farming in general, like a real life (versus imaginary) version of Pokemon.
