etymological news flash

I'm reading chapters of an art history textbook, and the word ironical just appeared.

After insisting to at least two people in the recent past that, no, "ironical" is NOT a word, and it would be absurd for such a word to exist, I find this, well....you know. And humbling, too.

LOL! That's one of Evan's favorite words (or non-words). He says it all the time, so much so that I thought about getting him a domain name with ironical in it. :)

:) oh, it's a word, all right! The writer of my textbook went absolutely crazy with the ironical word use after that point. Apparently most modern art movements are steeped in large amounts of irony, like a pleasant marinade.

(sorry. this is how I know I have been studying too long.)

a personal domain (with storage space) would be SUCH a cool gift - though maybe I'm biased, because I've wanted that for many a year and am too cheap to get one.
