Ever talk to a complete and total stranger? It's refreshing.
I was messaged on Myspace by a guy named Robert who is a friend of a friend. Well, we got into this very deep conversation over right and wrong. He seems pretty interesting and intelligent.
I should talk to strangers more often. ^^'''

When I was 14-15 I used to spend lots of time on internet chats, meeting new people.. Then I stopped doing it as I was meeting mostly jerks - but maybe I just had bad luck ^^ Good luck with the new friend :)

I wouldn't really consider him a friend, just an interesting conversationalist. I haven't had a deep, intellectual conversation since a little bit before school ended for the summer, so I've been craving one. I typically don't talk to random people online anymore; I used to when I was about 11 or 12. Talking online is difficult because you can never be sure of other's sincerity or intentions. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic. ^^ Oh well.

You're right, but it's also true that an on-line conversation/acquaintance can be just as interesting (or even more) as a RL one.. Of course, there are the danger factors, but seriously - there is quite a lot of them in reality, too.. (ha, now I'm pessimistic! ^^)

I agree. I think people act more like themselves online than in real life. You don't have to get along with people online like you do in day-to-day life.
