See, I'd argue that the outcome you want is even likelier if prop 8 FAILS. In that situation, the "traditional marriage" folks will have a strong interest in getting government out of marriage, and the opposition would be less. If Prop 8 passes, the only people who will be arguing to get government out of marriage will be the gay-marriage advocates, and they'll be up against the same opposition they're fighting right now. So you should really be voting no.
