Someone who I admire said last night that you're not a writer (or musician, or artist, etc) unless you have written, played, or made something of it TODAY. And, I don't think I agree with that at all. I just realized that I had art completely wrong. I have always done art and I will always do art. An artist is not someone that has done art today or someone who does art to be noticed. An artist does art for themselves. Art and writing have a way of digging deep into a person and helping that person realize who they are and what they are. Recently writing was the only thing that saved me from becoming something that I couldn't explain and something that was hurting everyone around me. I am a writer because I have to write to keep myself here. The only problem is that I wrote too late.
