Issues with a Book Series

Have you ever read a series that was amazing, well written, in your face and full of excitement~ only for the last two chapters to just fizzle. I mean, props for finishing it (unlike some others I could spout off,) but still. It honestly felt like the author rushed it, because he had a deadline to meet ( Read more... )

I believe what you are refering to is called a dénouement. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9nouement)

I liked the ending. It wrapped up the loose threads and brought the plot to a final resting point. The PPA got defanged, the Mckenzies went home to their halls, the Bearkillers power structure was clearly going to ammend itself according to Havel's wishes (being deliberately vague for people who haven't read the series) and Corvalis... well... was still Crovalis. I have to wonder where you wanted the story to go without Stirling pulling a Martin and stringing the series to a rediculous amount of books where nothing happens...

That he left you with a desire for more is a sign of a good author.
