Sometimes when I stumble across views of my friends that I tend to disagree with, I feel like I'm a horrible person/friend for the fact I don't agree with it.

/sigh.

But you shouldn't? Everyone's got different opinions and views, and it's far more wrong to think that everyone should have the same than it is to be different.

The rational part agrees wholeheartedly. The other part of me, who really dislikes confrontation and such... doesn't really disagree, just dislikes the potential arguments lying waiting to happen. Though, mostly those just pop up in the Big No Topics: Religion and Politics.

I completely agree with Kris. My only caveat is when it's ignorant BS that hurts people.

And just because you disagree doesn't mean you can't have a rational conversation. But depending on what it is, I can see how those can get explosive too. Just remember that you have your own thoughts too and no one should bully you into thinking differently because they want you to agree.

there's nothing wrong with disagreeing with your friends' views. they'll have different views; they're different people. *hugs*

you can ignore their views, and still be friends by not mentioning them. you can bring those views up for discussion (and hopefully not as an argument). or you can decide their differing opinion is too much to handle, and just not deal with them any more.

i've done all of the above, thankfully with different people. so don't feel guilty for your emotions/thoughts. ♥

I often disagree with friends' core beliefs. It doesn't make me horrible, nor does it make you horrible.

It's okay to disagree. :( We'd all be kind of boring if we all had the same opinion of everything.

I, for one, welcome the Dark Lord Cthulhu as our master. Not everyone supports my beliefs.

(but seriously. *hugs*)
