This is my new favourite ridiculous pairing. SO FUN TO WRITE.
Eric takes Nate to a vampire party, down in a velvet-walled basement belonging to an outrageous, purse-lipped vampire named Percy, in New Orleans by way of Egypt.
That’s Eric’s first terrible idea. Eric knows it before Pam tells him, but the calendar’s passed spring break by eight days and Eric’s running out of things to do with Nate.
“Do with him,” Pam repeats incredulously. She looks resplendent in her green cocktail dress and expensive jewels. Eric loathes her right now. She looks Nate over appraisingly, his good suit and his cheap shoes, the half-healed bite on his neck. “I’m going to assume you’ve already done the only two interesting things you can do with him

Oh, I loved all of this. How Eric's running out of things to do with Nate but still wants to keep him around, Pam's snark, Nate's bravery, Eric healing him - all of it just made me a pile of goo. And this line - He doesn’t believe in keeping humans as pets, mostly because he doesn’t believe in humans, - is just hilarious, and so dead on!

Ooh, B/R thoughts!! I don't have any time today, sadly (VERY SADLY) because a friend is coming over and there's a party here tonight, but tomorrow I'll be all over your ass, like white on rice.
