Hello, All! How are you this fine holiday weekend? Aside from buying make-up and eating too much garbage I have largely squandered my time (I seem to do this every weekend). I really need a shower so I will keep this in bullets
( Read more... )
* workout music! my workout music (lol, for when i do work out, which is rarely and usually happens in bursts of SUDDEN INTEREST which fall back into laziness within a few weeks, but whatever) is usually club music. if it gets my drunk ass jumping up and down on a dancefloor, it usually gets my (hopefully) sober ass pedaling a bit faster/etc.
OH MAN I don't know what I did this weekend either. I kept being compelled to visit. :|
Workouts, I like Holy Fuck and Caribou and Diskjokke, and... other things like those. Though lots of the time I just balance my laptop on the treadmill laptop-shelf-thingamabob and put on my headphones and watch old Doctor Who.
(Also I seriously wrote like 100 words this week and I keep having ideas for MORE stories instead of finishing the ones I'm doing and I'm having too many feelings and it's all bad so I feel your pain about writing and shit like that I don't know)
In hindsight I guess it could have been much worse. But it was okay because of Good Friday. Most weekends are only two days, and therefore consumed by laziness.
Good recs, although I unfortunately cannot watch DW because I am running outside and running right into a car is probably a bad idea.
UGH WRITING. Enough said, probably.
YOU TOO!! Sorry I haven't been around. Things have been busy and then idk lazy. I'm terrible.
When I work out I only listen to my own, desperate breathing. And since I'm at home I'll watch tv because that makes it easier to forget I'm on an exercise bike losing next to zero weight. That said, I have a few bouncy music playlists, mostly dance, poppy stuff. I could send them to you if you're interested.
I'm almost as hockey illiterate as I am cricket illiterate, except that I can look at a hockey score and I can tell who won/lost. Either way, good luck with your team and people.
Writing is hard, but it's best to put the words down first and then edit them out later. And since I'm breaking 200 words about two, three times a week at best, I'd definitely say there's something in the air that doesn't lead to productivity.
Most importantly, above all things: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ HIIIIIIIIIIII ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ lj hates me :(
I would be glad to receive your playlists! I need more upbeat music.
Either way, good luck with your team and people.
Thank you! I'm hoping they do well but assuming they won't! (that's the right way to do it, right?)

Ugh. WHY. So many other things in life are clicking but WHY NOT WRITING. I need and miss it so much. :(
HI! I, too, continue to work on my 4_a_star stories. Someday they will be done. Some damn day.
You are not the only one struggling. Writing is fucking HARD, yo. ::cries::
Best advice is not to think about the fat until you have a full draft. Then you can go back and cut. But it's best not to be too hard on yourself in process, else you'll never get anything done. (Gee, I have NO experience with that. AT ALL.)
Playoffs!! So many good matchups, let the madness begin!
As for workout music, I dont really work out, but if you like the club-dance-upbeat music (similar to what pisaci rec'd, then I can point you in the direction of many, many artists. A good starting point is all the Swedes who are taking over right about now: -Swedish House Mafia (plus their individual members, Steve Angello, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso) -Avicii (if you havent heard Levels that would be quite impressive given how its been everywhere! The Skrillex remix is also a winner. He also does a podcast which is great) -Eric Prydz -Leaving the Swedes, I'm rather fond of this song -And one of my other go-to's, Tiesto's Club Life podcast

so, a bit of club-slash-workout music:
New Noise (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) - Refuted
SKRILLEX: Bangarang, The Devil's Den, First of the Year, Ruffneck, Rock n Roll, Syndicate
Frozen - Celldweller & Blue Stahli (Celldweller does a lot of instrumentals as well, & Blue Stahli a lot of harder tracks. If they sound like the kind of thing you can sweat to, click around and see if anything else strikes your fancy)
KIDS OF 88: Downtown, Just a Little Bit, My House
as for everything else... haha, i have accomplished nothing. /o\ nothing new here! ♥
