Greetings all.  Just thought I'd share a little something about myself that some of you may know but many may not.  I probably have mentioned here a few times that I have very long hair, knee-length to be precise.  I recently was able to get a friend to take a picture that shows the length clearly so I thought I would share it here, if you are

I've always had pretty long hair but this is definitely the longest. Its a lot of work but right now I think its worth it.

Mine is short now. Reaching somewhere near the top of shoulder-blade. The longest I had... hmm.. probably it was 2 palms up to my waist. And I had this hair loooong ago ^_^

Before I grew it to this point the longest I'd had was maybe lower back when I was in junior high. I used to get it cut pretty regularly and it fluctuated between mid-back to just above the shoulders. Then, about 11 years ago I chopped it all off to a very short pixie cut, such an easy and fun style that was. After about 6 months of that I started growing it out and haven't really cut it since.
Whatever length you have, as long as it works for you and you like it, it is a good length :)

XD Thanks a lot. Never read any of the Star Wars novels but Leia has always been known to have good hair so that's pretty cool.

How long is your hair right now, I haven't seen it in a while. At the moment I think I would feel kind of lost without my hair, its really a part of me in more than the obvious ways. However I also understand the need to cut, I've certainly experienced that before as well, especially the time when I got it all chopped off to a very short pixie, my poor hairdresser was so traumatized XD Lon hair is nice but its always best to have hair that makes you feel your best.
As for the hard water issue, are there any kind of water softening products you can use to do a rinse? or you could try the vinegar rinse. Join the longhair com or check their backlog, I'm sure I've seen questions regarding hard water before.
