I saw at least 6 Priora (Priuses) today that I didn't see before. One had dealer plates, and there was a COJ and a DJP with a numbers, and a couple of CEX's - oh, and one with a custom plate that said SYRG, or something like that.
I'm starting to realize that my memory is really not good enough to keep all these cars straight, especially because new ones keep popping up every day. My girlfriend said she saw two more hybrids (not the Prius) yesterday. I don't know if I can keep up with Honda models too. Eep!
As part of my ongoing quest to stop doing experiments associated with my Ph.D. project, I have moved into a more hazardous set of experiments - by the flagrant use of radioactivity. What I'm doing is simple, and the risk is relatively minor, and easy to manage. Still, it scares the bejeezus outta me sometimes, probably because I imagine every body part that comes near the stuff glowing green with super-radioactive death. I guess my hair is still in place, so I must be doing something right.
Today as I was moving the radioactive phosphorous-labeled DNA around the radiation room, hiding behind radiation shields and sweeping the areas with a geiger counter I couldn't help but singing. Yet the only song that was in my brain was Dare to be Stupid by Weird Al. Go figure.
