Hochwasseralarm in Polen

I have a new computer. My fourth in nine years. My third laptop. Let's take a moment to dwell on what this says about our society, and then I'll just say that I have Windows 7 and a hard drive that is 3 times the size of the last one.

Cut for OTP )

...wait, what? Is that canon comic or...? :'D

Also, out of curiousity, define in character Hungary as you see her? >3>

A kindred soul posted scans of new material in vol. 3 *g*

Very briefly: Hungary is a lot more naive, a lot less mature and lacking a lot of insight that usually is contributed to her by the fandom. I could probably go into detail if you want to hear more; my problem here is mostly just that I want to read stories where she isn't the Wise Older Sister who always does what is right and for the best of everyone. Seriously: we're talking about a character whose main anguish in canon comes from being torn about how much she likes it when Austria is molested by other men. She's as much an idiot as the rest of the cast, and I wish the fandom would acknowledge it.

I meant to reply to this in the morning and...now it's almost 2 am. x3x~ So apologies if it's incoherent. But better than then never, huh? I'D

Seems rather...interesting, this material. =3=

Hm, I do suspect I might have (over)done that myself...in the one or two fics she featured in? But then those also had Prussia and surely almost anyone is more mature than he? *shot*
Seriously though, if you'd like to try to convince me further with these details, I'd be interested to hear. Do wish to develop my characterization and all that. :D

Give me a day or two? Life is busy at the moment and I have a feeling it might be long and bitter. And really, I can remember reading ONE fic in which Hungary acted something like I'd like to see her more often. Even brilliant writers who get everyone else spot on seem to write fanon!Hungary, so really: if it is the case, you're far from alone.
