Work has been good. It's more than part-time, which is good for money reasons and not so much for fun/being tired reasons. But it's a good place to work and so far everyone's been really nice. I just need to get my first paycheck to actually feel like what I'm doing is WORTH something...other than experience and such, which I know is important

i hate how most workplaces have this attitude that they own their employees. yes, being a dependable employee is important, but employees have lives, too. work can't always dominate their time. they need things like sleep, and at least a little bit of spare time to relax and run errands.

sorry for the mini-rant, i'm just remembering my days as a restaurant employee.
