There's a small girl looking out at the night sky, the full moon clear as the only figure in the sky. She stands at the edge of the cave, and stays there by herself for a few moments.
"Hey! Matsuri!" calls a voice from somewhere below. Matsuri's attention is diverted from the moon as she sees a young boy climbing his way up the mountain to her cave. He manages to get to the top and takes a few moments to even his breathing, as she just watches him all the while, unsure of what to say.
He takes a glance out at the sky before them and sighs, eyes softening at the view, "I never did figure out... what it was that you did when it's night. I mean, you never came down to the village, so." He turned back to her and gave a smile, "But well..." Trailing off at the end, he sat with his legs dangling over the edge. She followed his example and sat beside him, still not saying anything. Hugging her knees, she finally found herself starting off, "Thank y--"
"One day Matsuri, I'll show you the blue sky," he cut off her apology. Her head lifted to him in surprise, and he could only smile back earnestly.
