The entire "discussion" seems framed by the majority on the right to appeal to the majority--we have to assume that the majority is healthy enough and isn't concerned with the welfare of the minority. I'm glad some sort of reform got passed, and the democrats may have taken "one for the team" and made themselves unelectable for 10 years--I've heard the same thing happened with medicare and welfare (progressives got a majority, passed the bill, then got themselves out of power for a few years).

*sigh* I'm glad this is relatively over. I've started dreading my radio because it's nothing but conservative invective, the general feeling that the democrats are a bunch of failures and too stupid to vote in concert, and that's national public radio. Grump grump grump.

Yeah me too. I'm pretty happy it is over with now. I just wanted to rant because of what has been being said since it passed. It pissed me off and made me wanna grrrr at stupid people.

I can imagine that the same thing happened the last time medicare/medicaid passed. Which is why I kind of related it for a short time. People never cease to amaze me sometimes.
