i haven't watched too much of norshteyn's work (i wasn't even aware that there was a tale of tales pt. 2 until now, but i was kind of disappointed with the first), but easily my favorite familiar thing of his (it's actually a co-production but shhhh) is the battle at kerzhenets,
it's cut-out animation using frescoe paintings, so it has a pretty neat look to it. it's kind of boring at the beginning but somewhere near the four minute mark it gets awesome.
i think i was telling you about kihachiro kawamoto a few months ago. he's definitely worth checking out. "the demon" and "house of flame" are two of my favorite shorts ever.
