I had to put Murphy to sleep tonight. He had cancer of the blood vessels and it was around his spleen. It started bleeding today. His liver and stomach were so fucked up his lungs were squished. He was fine at 9pm, nearly unable to breathe at 11pm

Oh my god, that's awful. I am so so sorry.

But you shouldn't feel like you failed him, you loved him and took care of him. And it sounds like it was something that went unnoticed by even trained vets, so it's hardly a failing on your part. Try not to blame yourself.

I wish there was something I could do to help, but I'm not in a very good place either, so I'll just send you good thoughts and hope they help.

Thank you. I know logically that it's probably not something I could have fixed, or honestly, the vets could have fixed. But there's that part of me that believes I should have Super Healing Powers and fix all the wrong things.
