So much great stuff has been happening in MCR fandom recently - the Conventional Weapons announcement, Professional Griefers, Gerard being adorable at Morrisoncon, Gerard being even more adorable with Becky Cloonan and Shaun Simon at NY Comic Con (seriously, how beautiful are the three of them together?) <3

Oh man it would SO GREAT if MCR played Glastonbury next year! I hope they do!!

Leathermouth is a lot like This Song Is A Curse, except it's more screamy, the lyrics are darker, and the music sound is more metal. :?D (I love it though.)

I imagine MCR would love to play Glastonbury - all those years reading about it in NME while they were growing up! There's this whole artistic vibe at Glastonbury that I just want them to experience. For example, every year one field is taken over by a collective of artists, who build a post-apocalyptic future city out of old junk; visitors can wander round and interact with the artists in a kind of live-action role play. The Fabulous Killjoys would feel completely at home there!

Thanks for the Leathermouth info - I'll definitely get hold of the album. I can;'t believe I haven't before, but at least it means more new music for me - yay!

Excited to FINALLY! be going to Thought Bubble \o/ The line ups for this keep getting better each year and im really looking forward to it :3

I've heard people say that Frank's little solo song is like a mix of Pencey and Leathermouth, and i agree! LM is a bit more ~shouty and angry than this but it's not crazy dissimilar really. I do love that song and downloaded it this evening too. I was worried i wouldn't be able to get it as for awhile UK itunes was just saying "album only". Glad that changed. Quite excited for Frankenweenie too!

Thoughbubble more than makes up for missing the Birmingham Comic Con this March! (I will try to make it to that next year though).

You've made me excited to listen to Leathermouth now. I'm now going to admit to my secret dream that Frank would take lead vocals on a MCR song - just one! Much as I adore Gerard as frontman, I just think it would be so great to see them do it live, with Frank screaming into the mic, while Gerard could take the opportunity to show off some serious dance moves :D

Becky <3 <3 <3 And Grant too! I've just been listening to a really great Radio Scotland programme where he discusses how Scottish culture influenced his work. Have you listened to it? There's a link on this page to download it as a podcast if you can't get the BBC stream.
