Despite not having a lot of faith in people, the results of the election on Tuesday set the bar to a new low. I could rant and rave about how stupid and lacking in foresight the outcome was, but there really isn't a point. I've done my share of that in advance to the election. it's almost as if the government sees us as above needing help and has gotten bored, decided to play with the other countries instead.
... i don't think i like either political party, really. i just think we should have guns & abortion should be legal (though i don't think i'd do it, i could imagine cases where it would be possible) & everyone should be able to get married, although marriage has become such a superficial thing.

Opinions like that are why I don't really subsribe to either the Democratic (or what remains of that) or the Republican. I don't really subscribe to being "liberal" or "conservative"--I think that they are too limiting of terms. They are useful for broad strokes--I'd say I'm liberal before I'd say I'm conservative--but people use them as specific monikers for themselves, it's sad really.
