Summer-Fall 1985 and I was on the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63** in the middle of the Indian Ocean, northwest of the central Indian Ocean atoll of Diego Garcia, during the Iraq-Iran "tanker wars." Hiya "Dr T"!!! Yep, in fact, the day I posted this I had run into a former ship mate on the Hawk and, as swabbies do, we started swapping stories etc. Ahhh the memories (not all of them fond), but, not that I'd necessarily want to do it all over again. But some things were pretty neat to experience. :)
