Maybe Zach was right in saying that we women perform for and during dates. But i dont think its done consciously. My feelings of rejection usually end up accompanied with self-blame for not allowing to get the guy to get to know me more authentically. That if i had, he wouldve liked me.

i think women (though men too, just in a different way) are told how to act from birth so it becomes second-nature a lot of the time. i mean, simple stuff like makeup - if women "need" or "love" makeup then the same amount of men should "need, love" makeup too, right? because we're all humans and even have the same skin and stuff, right? an equal amount of men and women like dogs, right? but that's not the case with stuff society drills into our brain from infancy, like makeup
