I think Condoleezza Rice would make an excellent president. Plus, she is a MUCH better role model then Hillary.

Ugh. I just get a REALLY bad vibe from that woman.

I could NOT have said it any better myself.

its funny, I tell people like my sister that Dr. Condoleezza Rice is much better than HIllary. Then if thye're HARDCORE Hillary supporters, when I tell them that Dr. RIce is better, they're like "Well she's black, she can't get elected". And I usually respond, "And Hillary can?!? She won't win any states outside of the NorthEast and California. THey they usually either become speechless or say "no but I like Hillary better". ANd they can't support with any logic why she woudl be a good President except "Shes a woman".

I know you work or worked for a paper. I don't know if you were involved in editorials or opinion pieces but reading the so called "Independent" Florida Alligator is soooo nauseating. Especially with one eidtorial after another acting liek Hillary is Mother Theresa or somethign ( ... )

Jimmy Carter...true, he isn't the best president. But he is a better person than most presidents. He works for Habitat for Humanity now.

I'm NOT Knocking Jiummy Carter nightowl301 February 3 2003, 16:35:21 UTC
I wans't knocking Jimmy Carter. He's a good man and tries hard for what he thinks is the best for the world and other people. He's definitely a better man then Tricky Dick or SLick Willy or LBJ for that fact too ( ... )

Black President? nightowl301 February 4 2003, 07:16:35 UTC
Will this country elect a Black President in the near future? I think its very possible. First of all, Colin POwell, Bush's Secy. of State has about a 70% approval rating and is popular among Repubs and Dems. The only thing thats screwing him over is that he's for abortion and being pro choice and trying to win a Republican nomination is Mission Impossible now ( ... )

Besides intelligence mainly tests for spatial skills and knowledge. Being a prez takes stuff like empathy, social competence (on an interpersonal and mass level), and initiative. Hilary doesn't sit particularly well on those based on her Senatorial run (or maybe its just because she ran for a state she barely lived in). I think Diane Feinstein would be a better female Democrat candidate.

All those things that you said about Hillary, thats what i was thinking except, I wanted to just keep it on facts and not bash that much of her personality.

But, the first woman that runs for President, does she HAVE TO be a Democrat? There are some qualified women Repubs as well. I've heard alot of analysts say that the first woman Prez may actually have to be a Repub. since people view the Repubs as a "Good Ol' boy Party" (GOP) so the woman will seem tougher if she was able to win against men in that party.

DO you think Dianne Feinstein would run for Prez though? She's getting up there in years. I Think that she's about 70 or close to it.
