You? A conservative? I thoguht you were always bashing BUsh. BUT, I think I read in one of your LJs that you were against abortion so maybe that's why.

I'm surprized by that too! And you're a registered Republican and you voted for Bush! THe thing that I think is a flaw with this quiz is that it doesn't ask for positions on economic issues like tax cuts or welfare.
It only asked about abortion, gay rights, affirmative action, prayer in school and I forgot what else. I was liberal about affirmative action and a question about cops or race and still got conservative.
THey shouldda asked who did you or would you have voted for in 2000? Nader, Gore, Bush, or Buchanan.
I've also learned in my Political Behavior class that if your parents were one party and you become the opposite party that you will never be as solidly (Repub or Dem) as someoen whos parents were Repubs or Dems. Hmmm, I don't think they ever met Ronald Reagan, though. His parents were Dems and he was Dem until the 1960s and he's probably the most Conservative Republican President of the 20th Century.

yea livejournal type quizzes aren't always that reliable. my parents are both democrats yet i feel they have somewhat more conservative views than me so maybe we have our parties mixed up. they should be repubs and i should be a democrat lol. i don't think that will ever happen..although they both voted for bush so i think i'm starting to bring them over to my side ;)

SO what issues are you conservative and liberal on? Alot of people who vote Republican are liberal on issues like gay rights or abortion, but they like their tax cuts and they hate people on welfare who have 9 kids that don't work, so they vote Republican

I've read things you say and you are NOT a far-left liberal. You'd probably be a moderate. THe survey is weak b/c it doesn ask for your postition on economic issues liek taxation or welfare and things like foreign policy. It only asks about social issues like abortion, gay rights, or affirmative action. And NOT ONe that I've seen the results for, which is probably about 10-15 people, got "Moderate" which is supposedly where most people lie politically.
Someone on my list who voted for Bush got "Far Left Liberal", while someone who is anti-war got "conservative".
