wow, thanks for this post slipnslydsuicyd April 10 2003, 16:24:03 UTC
"If you really want to stand up for America, please send your twin daughters over to Kuwait right now and let them don their chemical warfare suits."

haha, score twenty for mr. moore!

"But have you forgotten we wouldn't even have this country known as America if it weren't for the French?"

this kind of annoyed me, because he shouldn't credit today's france with a france that existed even ten years ago. i agree with france for not supporting the war effort. i think it's wrong for bush to turn his back on france, but not because of any of france's past achievements.

the reason i stopped by in the first place was to tell you that i love what you posted in vincent's journal. it was my favorite response of them all. thank you very much. you will see that i have added you. have a great day!

France isn't against America for wanting to wage war on Iraq. They simply do not want a part of it. There is no reason for him to turn his back. If anything, he should respect their choice. Afterall, they did save our asses from the British!

Thank you for your kind words. And in turn, I will add you. I look forward to future correspondence with you. Ave and good day!

hehe, i didn't say france was against america. if
anything, i said exactly what you did.

...and i think it's silly to give france so much
credit. the people who saved our asses are dead
and gone now. it's like telling a kid how
wonderful he is because of something that his
great-great grandfather did. do you see what i am
saying?

I was directing this argument toward Bush, not something you were saying:). About France, I wasn't saying that we should still be in debt to them, but that we should respect their decision not to get involved. I hope I wasn't implying to you that I feel we still OWE them something. And it is silly to give France that much credit. I agree. I understand what you're saying and I agree. Thanks for bringing this up:)
