Valentines

Paring: Minhyuk/Kyung

Word Count: 5,466

Sumarry: Kyung has a crush on his senior.

A/N: High School Au. For kissmeisanoun for kindly agreeing to be my beta. Thank you! And forgive me is there’s anything wrong. That’s not really Minhyuk dad but oh well-

It was that time of the year again where all the giddy teenage girls stay up all night trying to make chocolates or whatever presents they’re going to give to their crushes/boyfriends and it was also the time were boys were bragging and making a scene about how many they got. Honestly, Kyung couldn’t care less. But for the first time he’s being on the giving end of it and now he knows how freaking nervous girls get when giving chocolate to their crush and trying to be as subtle as possible.

Kyung doesn’t want to come off as too aggressive after all. But; subtle just isn’t his thing.

To make matter worse, his crush aka Lee Minhyuk is in the senior block and has a personal fanclub. The odds aren’t on his side right now.

“Screw this.” Kyung grumble. It was very well near lunch time and they have a free period after it which sync with the senior lunch time. The classroom is bustling with life but all Kyung wants to do is dig a hole and bury himself in it.

“Aw, come on Kyung. Cheer up.” His best friend Woo Jiho or Zico as people would call him, tried to hide - and failing- a snicker because Kyung looks absolutely pathetic whining about this one side crushing thingy.

Kyung sigh and plants his face on his table. He felt exhausted with staying up all night doing that and now he’s battling a mind fight that he’s losing. His friend isn’t making this any easier either with that shit eating grin on his face that Kyung would love nothing more than to punch it away.

“Jiho, this is impossible,” said the brunet, “Did you see him this morning? He was literally drowned by all those girls.”

“Well, yeah. What do you expect?” Jiho chuckled, “He’s one of the popular guys in our school, duh.”

“You’re not helping me.” Kyung groan in defeat. Some of their classmates where glancing over at the pair but didn’t do anything else. They were probably stirred by the subject of the school most handsomest guys their eyes ever laid on.

Kyung glance a tired eye over his blonde friend when Kyung realized something. “Wait, aren’t you supposed to be showered by all the presents that you usually get every year?”

“Oh, you mean the chocolates?” Jiho ran a hand over his neck, rubbing mindlessly. “I reject them. Couldn’t really bother to take them because I have to give back on White Day. Last year was a scary reminder.”

Jiho shudder at the flash of last year memories. He and Kyung spent a whole day coming up with a plan for white day because from the look he got a day before, those girls aren’t going to leave him unarmed.

Kyung took in Jiho words, a scene replaying in his mind. What if Minhyuk decide to do that to him too.

“Sorry, but I got a lot already and they’re a bit of a hassle.”

Or worse-

“Sorry, but I don’t accept gifts from guys. I’m not into that.”

Kyung just want to die.

It was that free period and Kyung decides to spend this free hour in the library - since a certain woo jiho left him in the dust god knows where the boy went - and is innocently passing the hallway that connects the senior block with the sophomores. It’s a long hallway with aesthetic walls on one side and queue of clear windows on the other that let the light shone through, making the place looks more majestic and not like some sort of scene from a horror movie.

To go to the library, you need to pass through the senior block and turn left to the faculty hallway. The school is huge and is equal to a maze. Kyung had vow to himself that he will never ever go to the school at night. Even if someone offers him a pot of gold, nu uh.

Kyung’s glad the alley is deserted with only the ticklish sunlight to accompany him. He needs some alone time to pace himself through the day.

He was just about halfway through when he saw the source of all his self-destruction. The word shit couldn’t even rival to what he’s feeling.

“Maybe if I turn around and walk as neutral and quiet as possible, they wouldn’t notice me.”

Kyung mentally prayed for that to work but god hates him and he doesn’t know why because the three senior; Lee Taeil aka the school President, Ahn Jaehyo; the school top handsome guy but is honestly quirky and weird the universe can’t handle him and Lee Minhyuk. Freaking Lee Minhyuk. Kyung is just ready to run for his life.

It’s not like Kyung is any importance in his life; in fact, Kyung is just a tiny speck of dust among his flocks of admires and it’s not like Kyung never talked to the guy before. Kyung’s a guy too after all; he got some gun of confidence in him too.

But that’s just it. Kyung doesn’t think he had made any particular impact on that guy’s life.

“Kyung!” A heavenly voice swam through his ears and it took a while for Kyung to realize that he’s froze to his spot looking at the trio with wide saucer like eyes.

“Kyung? You’re alright?” Minhyuk is coming to his way now with a smile on those gorgeous lips. Damn, Kyung just have the worst of luck.

It took a minute or two for Kyung brain to register a coherent reply.

“Hyung,” Kyung mouth twitch at the end, forcing down his usual grin and instead goes for a polite smile. “Yeah, I’m alright. Just thinking of something.” Wow way to go Kyung. That so smooth Jiho’s practically laughing at you somewhere.

Minhyuk returns his smile with a relief look on his face; his usual bad boy cold ice prince façade is being put away.

“That’s great.” Minhyuk said, “Where were you heading for? I rarely get to see you nowadays since we’re not in the same club anymore.”

That’s partly true. Kyung used to be in the piano club but after suffering a major accident with his fingers, he had to withdraw after the doctor told him he couldn’t play the piano anymore or he’ll risk having severe damage. Kyung couldn’t remember how long it took for him to stop crying and come to school again.

Since then, Kyung opt for a more domestic club activity that involves less fingering movement being done and more, brain power instead. Which fate leads him to being in the same club with the school president. He never knew the glass eyed senior had a thing for environmental studies or perhaps, marine life.

“It’s a free period and I’m planning on heading to the library to do some extra grinding for the upcoming exam.” Kyung said, keeping his gaze low to the ground instead. He never realized how cool Minhyuk’s shoes is.

“Oh, um, well-“ Minhyuk seems to be struggling for a reply which Kyung has no idea why so he brings his gaze up to look at the older boy and merlin- why does he look so good. Kyung doesn’t want to give his feeling away but his face is flushing from their eye contact and Kyung just want to go back to class and weep about his pitiful life.

“How about you, hyung?” Kyung ask, keeping his voice cool. “Where were you heading?”

“We were just on our way to the café.” Jaehyo decides to interfere; a suspicious orange coloured box wrap with blue ribbon is in his arms.

Kyung want to smack himself in the face. Of course, its lunch hour for the seniors after all.

“They were on their way to the café.” Minhyuk said, emphasizing the ‘they’ part, “I was still thinking whether to go there or not.”

“Well, do you want to go or not, Hyuk?” Taeil asked, his short height doesn’t seem to be intimidated by his two friends.

Minhyuk shot a glance over his friends and to Kyung -which is still fascinated by the older’s shoes- and decided not to go.

“I could use some extra grinding myself, if you don’t mind me tagging along to the library.” Minhyuk shift on his foot and it dawns to him that Minhyuk is talking about going to the library with him. Holy Cow.

“S-Sure.” Kyung silently cursed the stutter. “It would be nice to have a company.” Oh wow Kyung, you need to stop saying all these cheesy stuff.

Minhyuk grins at him; dimple clear to the view and Kyung felt like puddy and mush inside, his skin tingling with a new kind of heat.

He parts with his two friends, bidding them a see you later and the two returns with suspicious smile and snickers.

The walk to the library was - thankfully- short and uneventful because Kyung couldn’t handle the awkward silence and the presence of Minhyuk so close beside him was enough to drives up the wall.

They find a good empty seat far away from people, not wanting to risk getting ambushed by Minhyuk’s fanclub and at the same time, testing Kyung’s last ounce of sanity.

“So, how was your day?” Kyung attempts to start a conversation, scribbling some mathematic equation on his workbook while stealing short glance at Minhyuk sitting beside him.

Getting so close to your crush is something Kyung could never imagine he could pull off.

Minhyuk chews on the lid of his pen; either thinking about the work he’s doing or the question Kyung just asked.

“Hectic.” Minhyuk concludes. “Those girls were scary. I thought I wouldn’t make it back alive.”

Well I don’t think I’ll make it out alive either. Kyung thinks because his heart is beating fast and from the quietness of the library, he wonders if Minhyuk could hear it too.

“Being one of the top three most good-looking guys is tough, huh.” Kyung said with a friendly smile. “Did you get a lot today?”

“I got too much that I can’t carry them all and ended up having my assistant from home pick it up earlier.” Minhyuk said with a sigh.

Kyung pause in his work, fiddling his pencil between his fingers. The thought about the chocolate he made for the other still haven’t left his mind.

“But, you know,” Minhyuk stretch out his arms on the table, leaning back onto his chair. “Despite all the attention I’m getting, I rather be with the people I’m familiar with. Because I know that I meant something more to them than good looks and overflowing fortune.”

Kyung thinks back to how he gotten this crush for the older. He didn’t think it was the looks or the fortune that got him hook over the other.

:: Flashback ::

“Your piece was wonderful, Kyung. The judges loved them.” Their music teacher and club adviser, Mrs Lucia, said to Kyung. “If you keep it up, you might even be qualified to enter the nationals!”

Going to the nationals was Kyung dream. Imagine how proud his parents would be if he could bring back the trophy. At least now, he would have something to be of used to the family.

“As expected from you, Kyung.” A familiar voice sounded from behind once the club is over and everyone is dismissed. Minhyuk leaned over his shoulder to where Kyung was sitting at the neatly polished grand piano.

“Hyung.” Kyung smile at his senior, the compliment giving his cheek a light flush. “N-Not at all, hyung. I just did my best for it.”

“But your piece was truly amazing, Kyung! Everyone loved it, even my father was impressed.” Kyung ducked his head over the keyboard, couldn’t contain the blushed he had.

Everybody knew that Lee Seunghyun, father of Lee Minhyuk was a critically acclaimed musician and conductor. He was a man that isn’t easy to please.

“You wouldn’t mind if I sit beside you?” Minhyuk asked, a soft smile visible on the plush pink lips.

Kyung shook his head and scoot a little to the edge, making room for Minhyuk to sit. “I’m going home a bit late today so I don’t mind.”

When Minhyuk sat down beside him, their hips were pressed together to make up for the restricted space. He could feel Minhyuk body heat mingling with his own through their school trousers.

“Do you want to play that piece you wrote?” Minhyuk glance over, shoulder brushing as he graze his fingers over the keyboard.

“Sure; but, did you remember how it goes?” Kyung looked over to the other, curiousness in his eyes.

“A bit, but I think you wouldn’t mind lending me the ropes, right?” Minhyuk smile, there weren’t much distance between them and Minhyuk is somehow very comforting sitting beside him.

Oddly enough, Minhyuk remembers every single note of the song. They play in harmony, fingers striking the keys with great precision and timing. The sun was setting, painting the room in a rich velvety orange colour. Kyung couldn’t pull himself away from this tantalizing scene, with the sound of the piano swirling through the air.

They finish off the song nicely, but ended up screwing with the last note when both boys dived for the same key, ending up with their fingers tangled with each other.

“Oops, wasn’t expecting that.” Minhyuk laugh when he noticed their mistake. Kyung joined in the laughter too because it was certainly funny having their fingers tangled together after going for the same key.

“I didn’t even need to lend you my ropes! You remember the whole song.” Kyung said, his eyes shining with admiration for the senior.

Minhyuk only stroke his nape nervously, as if he had been caught doing something bad. “It was a really nice piece, it just stuck to me.” He chuckled. “I was wondering, Kyung. Maybe you would like to do a duet together?”

Kyung jaw just dropped. Is he serious? Doing a duet with the most talented student in the music field is like a great honor.

“A-Are you sure?” said Kyung, “I don’t want to disappoint you or anything..”

“What do you mean disappoint me? Didn’t you hear how you just played just now?” Minhyuk chuckled, “You’re amazing.”

“It just sounds amazing because you were playing with me.” Kyung said, insecurity tugging at his skin.

“That’s why I want to do a duet with you.” Minhyuk smile, bright and proud. “It would be phenomenal.”

Kyung ended up taking the offer because it was just too good to pass. Piano was his life and he wants to cherish every moment of it and doing a duet is just one of the things in his bucket list. They spend some time thinking about what piece they would play. How fast would the pace goes and such. During those times, Kyung learned more about this hyung. Know about all his quirks and habit when playing the piano. Know who did he idolize in the classical music world and realize how different he is when he’s around the piano. If Kyung would admit, Minhyuk passion about the piano is as strong as his and that somehow tug a divine feeling at his heart.

It was early November, the cold was starting to surround the school. They were doing their monthly club cleaning and Kyung was in charge of scrubbing the floor. The school is very strict on cleanliness and every nook and crook must be checked.

“Tiff, careful with the Viola.” Their music teacher instructs each student.

Kyung crouch down on the floor, wiping it using a wet worn-cloth. He had just passed close to the Violas stand when there was a loud crash and all Kyung could feel was surging hot white red blinding pain and had Kyung double over on the floor. There were scream and shriek but all Kyung could feel was pain. His fingers felt dead to him, crushed under the heavy weight of the Viola.

“Quick! Call the ambulance. We’re taking him to the hospital.”

Kyung just wanted to sob, cry to himself till he passed out. It hurts too much for him to take. The last thing Kyung could remember was he was hoisted up and it was all black.

The sound of the hospital machine calculating his heart beat fills the room. It had been two days since he was put in custody, being checked by the doctor at the require time.

It was all too much for Kyung to take in.

“Mr. Park, I’m sorry to say this but your fingers receive the worst damage out of everything. Your middle and distal phalanx were crushed and it will take a while for the bones to reform again. Your ligaments and tendon has unfortunately torn and won’t be able to function properly. Even after they are cure, they aren’t suitable for hour’s long activity or holding up heavy objects no more than - “

The doctor voice just went on and on talking about Kyung broken fingers. He felt sick to the stomach.

“I heard you played piano, Mr. Park. I’m sure this is devastating news to you but I’m sorry to say that you won’t be able to continue playing the piano unless you’ll risk permanently losing your fingers as in causing them to be immobilize for a lifetime.”

Kyung let the tears stain his cheeks. He couldn’t bear to look at his hand right now. They’re wrap around thick bandage and swelling hideously. His nails were broken and purple blue with bits of black and his heart clench so badly.

The door to his room slide open, announcing that he’s having a company.

The visitor seems to hesitant by the door before taking big stride and pulling the chair out, taking a seat next to his bed. Kyung opened his eyes that he didn’t realized closing.

“Minhyuk hyung?” Kyung voice is hoarse; nights of crying seem to do its job.

Minhyuk shows him a small smile, but his eyes etched in pain. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m feeling sick.” Kyung said with honesty. “Did you know.. that I couldn’t play piano anymore?”

Minhyuk pressed his lips thinly, as if those words had sliced him with a sharp knife. “Yeah. I-I’m sorry..”

Kyung looked at the senior in surprise. What is he on about?

“You don’t have to be sorry, hyung. It wasn’t your fault that this happened.” Kyung said.

“It was partly my fault. The fall of the Viola was on purpose.” Minhyuk hanged his head low, cradling his face in the palm of his hands. “You know that girl, Tiff? We got angry at her for not being careful and she said you deserve it. When I look into it, I found out she was a member of my fanclub and…”

Minhyuk took a deep breath as if there’s not enough air in the room. “I was so disgust, Kyung. I can’t believe she did that all because of her envy.”

Kyung gaze soften. Minhyuk is being too hard on himself and now, Kyung heart clench for a different reason. “It’s not your fault, hyung. You can’t control other people feelings. Beside, maybe the people in the sky are trying to tell me something. Maybe I’m just not meant to play the piano after all…”

There was loud screech of the chair being pushed back onto the floor as Minhyuk suddenly stood up, fist clench tight that his knuckles start to turn white. For once, Kyung felt like he’s scared, because Minhyuk looks absolutely furious.

When Minhyuk’s eyes catches the fear in Kyung’s eyes, all of the anger dissipate; instead, being replaced by a wave of shame.

“I..I’m sorry.” Minhyuk said, his voice sounding small. “I didn’t mean to snap. It’s just, why do you keep telling yourself that? You’re amazing, Kyung. Your piano skills are off the chart. Why do you think I want to do a duet with you in the first place? I never heard such a beautiful melody before until you came in the club. Not even at my father piano classes or gathering or whatever it is. They couldn’t rival to what I heard from you, Kyung.”

Kyung heart did flips and summersault inside and the beep of his heartbeat start to pick up. Minhyuk sounded so sincere.

“I was actually looking forward to having the duet with you, hyung.” Kyung said, looking onto his hand. He could hear the chair being place back and Minhyuk sits again. “The thought of having a duet with you is exciting.” He smiles.

“B-But now..” Kyung chews on his bottom lip, holding back the tears as they brim his eyes. “T-That won’t ever happen. I c-can’t play the piano anymore, hyung.”

Minhyuk looks torn as Kyung start to let the tears fall, choked sobs slipping out. He holds the smaller male in his arms, careful not to touch any bad spots or any of the wires.

From that on; Kyung realized, he was crushing on his senior.

“Kyung? Kyung, are you there?” There was a hand waving in front of his face and Minhyuk voice sounding too close to his ear that had Kyung snapping back to reality. He turns to Minhyuk with a sheepish smile, guilty for spacing out on the other.

“Geez, Kyung. I thought I lost you.” Minhyuk chuckled, one elbow prop on the table. “I’ve been trying to get your attention for the last five minutes already.”

“Sorry, I was thinking of something.” Kyung said, “What were you trying to say, hyung?”

“Nothing at all, Kyung. It’s just when I saw you frozen in your seat, I knew you weren’t on planet earth anymore.”

Kyung gave the senior an embarrassed smile, chewing on the end of his pencil to hide this light shame. “Hyung, how is the club doing?”

“The club?” Minhyuk eyes widen a little. “The music club, is it?”

“Well, yeah. Did you join any competition? I bet you’re going to smash it if you did.” Kyung said with a grin. But Minhyuk isn’t looking at him anymore; his eyes are downcast and hurtful.

“I… quit the club.”

“What?! Why?” Kyung all but try not to yell.

“Shh, Kyung!” Minhyuk voice shushed him, pressing a finger over his lips with his brow furrowed. Kyung nearly forgot that they’re in the library.

“Sorry..” Kyung said, quieter this time. “But hyung, why? Why did you quit the club? I thought you loved piano.”

“I do… But every time I touch the keyboard, the images of you come to my mind.”

Kyung could feel a flush to his face and doesn’t know whether to be happy or perplex. He’s just going to settle with confused.

“What do you mean, hyung?”

Minhyuk took a deep breath, the same way he did when they were in the hospital. “You made an impact on me and every time I play the piano, I’ll remember you. I remember what happen on that day and I’ll remember the fact that you can’t play the piano anymore… That I won’t be able to hear the wonderful melody anymore…”

Minhyuk chews on his bottom lip and Kyung fights his feelings down. He frowns, turning on his seat to face the other, his knees brushing with Minhyuk’s and Kyung haven’t realize how close they’re actually sitting.

“I’m sorry that I made you couldn’t play the piano anymore…” Kyung looks down on his hips, his hand folded. He was about to give a bow for forgiveness to the other when Minhyuk stop him mid-length, a hand pushing Kyung’s shoulder back up.

“No, Kyung. Don’t.” Minhyuk voice sounds like panic, his face heating up to a red colour. “It’s not your fault. It’s my fault that I couldn’t control the images that pop up inside my head. But that’s just it. Piano just isn’t the same anymore without you.” He sigh, dejected.

Why is Minhyuk using such emotion triggering words. Kyung heart is practically beating so fast as if he just ran a full marathon minus all the sweating.

“M-Minhyuk..” Kyung stuttered, tripping over his own tongue as his face heats up to an unbelievable colour of red. It’s now or never. Minhyuk looked up when Kyung had called him directly using his first name, horrification thrown out of the window.

“You look so red, Kyung.” Minhyuk pointed out. “Are you alright?”

Now isn’t the time to be concerning about my health, hyung. Kyung thinks; giving the older a shook of his head to shake the question off.

“T-Today’s Valentines, r-r-right?”

“… Yeah. Kyung, are you sure you’re okay? Do we need to go to the nurse office or something?”

“Hyung..” Kyung takes a deep breath and shove something to Minhyuk’s chest, dropping it -gently- onto his lap.

It took a while for Minhyuk to process what just happen.

“What’s this, Kyung?” He asked; picking up the shiny white box wrapped with a black ribbon.

“I-It’s for your V-Valentines present.” Kyung said; ducking his head low and letting the fringes of his hair covers his very red face from Minhyuk’s view.

“I don’t know if you accept gifts from guys but I decided to give you anyway. I made it myself. Don’t know if it would taste good though.” Kyung attempts to laugh, trying to brush away the awkwardness. “N-Not there’s anything behind it, I-I just want to thank you, that’s all. It’s not like I have this very huge crush on you since we played piano toge - “

He felt a finger tilting his chin upwards before he felt something soft on his lips and it dawns to him that Minhyuk is kissing him. He felt like he could pass out from sheer joy.

Kyung didn’t have time to respond to the kiss though - partly because his brain was lagging - because Minhyuk had pull away from the chaste kiss but he holds the gaze, eyes smoldering over the smaller male.

“H-Hyung..” It came out breathless; the short kiss was enough to take his breath away, he couldn’t imagine a full French kiss. He probably wouldn’t last.

“I feel the same way, Kyung.” Minhyuk said; running his thumb over Kyung’s soft lips. The corner of his eyes twinkles with a fond glint; as if he’s been waiting for this moment to come.

“When I sat next to you, playing the piano, it was electrifying.” He admits, leaning forward to press another chaste kiss on the sophomore’s lips. “When I got the news that you couldn’t play the piano anymore, it hurts me more than it should.”

“Then I realized that I got this fat ass crush on my junior and ever since then, I always wanted to be with you.” Minhyuk sigh, pulling back to sit properly on his chair, making Kyung moves forward and they ended up in a push and pull before Kyung trip over and fell on Minhyuk’s lap, much to the younger embarrassment.

“You’re impossible.” Minhyuk chuckle; threading his fingers lovingly in Kyung’s soft hair.

“I heard.” Kyung said; Jiho’s voice popping in his head.

“Hyung, does this make us, um.. you know,” Kyung blushes a little, “Lovers?”

“Yeah, lovers.” Minhyuk nods his head, dipping down to kiss on Kyung’s cheek bone. “We’re lovers now.”

Not even in his wildest dream that Kyung imagine he would get the person he had been pinning since he left the hospital. He never would have thought he stood a chance to get the school most loved student.

“Shit, look at the time.” Kyung got up from Minhyuk’s lap after the older had jerked so wild Kyung nearly bumped with the table.

“Oh, your lunchtime is over hyung.” Kyung said, noticing what’s the other was so jerky about. Which also reminds him of his class. Shit.

Kyung turns his head to find Minhyuk staring at him; his bottom lip is caught between his teeth. “Hyung?”

Minhyuk eyes snapped back to him and he let out a sigh, getting up from his seat and gathering his stuff. His hand halted when he picked up the chocolate Kyung made from him, the younger blushing red beside him.

“Thanks, for this.” Minhyuk turns to him with a smile, stepping forward till he has Kyung pinned by the table. “I’ll see you after school, then?”

Before Kyung could answer, he closes the space between them, letting their lips connect. This time, he holds the kiss, one hand coming up to cup Kyung’s cheek as he savors the taste the younger’s lips. Sweet with a hint of strawberry.

It was when Kyung let out something equal to a moan did Minhyuk pulled away, both breathless and flushed. He licks away the trail of saliva and gives another chaste kiss before waving Kyung a see you later, going back to his classroom with a skip in his step, clutching the gift in his arms. He’s going to get question to why he’s late and why he had such a weird smile on his face but for now, Minhyuk couldn’t care less about it.

The last period ended surprisingly fast for Kyung, or is it because his mind is too occupied by the thoughts of a certain Lee Minhyuk that he didn’t notice the time fly.

“So you really did give the chocolate you made to him, huh?” Jiho’s grin is teasing the heck out of Kyung. “I’m so proud of you, Kyung! I know you could do it.”

Kyung doesn’t know if Jiho’s really meant that or the boy is mocking him but he goes to jab him in the ribs anyway.

They’re walking towards the school gate now and Kyung’s bone is just buzzing with jittering warmth because he’s going to get to see Minhyuk, his lover.

“Hey, there’s your crush!” Kyung mentally wanted to slap Jiho so bad because he just said that out loud.

Minhyuk is there, standing near the pillar with his usual two friends but before Kyung manage to even turn his feet to their direction, Jiho beat him to it.

And jumped on Ahn Jaehyo.

And freaking kisses him straight on the lips.

In front of everyone.

Kyung swears he just got second-hand embarrassment dumping himself in bleach won’t get rid of it.

“Kyung.”  Minhyuk calming voice break through his train of thoughts as the older reach out for his hand, stroking lightly before interlocking them, a clear sign of love visible at the gesture.

“Oh, are you two together too?” Jiho piped beside them, climbing down poor Jaehyo. “Man, I never knew Kyung had balls of steel!”

“S-Shut up, Ji.” Kyung bites at the other, cheeks flushing a dark shade. “What about you two? I knew there was something suspicious when I saw Jaehyo hyung carry something that’s look like the chocolate you made.”

Jiho only blush a little bit but he still had this cocky grin on his face. “Well, yeah. We’re hitting each other off since last month and find out the feeling was mutual.”

“I was not expecting that. At all.” Kyung said with a chuckle, squeezing his entwines hand with Minhyuk.

“Jaehyo was talking about him all the time though, so it wasn’t a surprise much to me.” Minhyuk said with an amusement, seeing his friend all but stutter hopelessly for a comeback.

“Says the one that’s been pinning over his junior since he first laid eyes on.” Now it was Minhyuk and Kyung’s turn to blush as the other pair continues to tease one another.

“I know.” Jiho said, “Kyung just couldn’t stop having this worst case scenario about what would happen if he talked to Minhyuk and would always have this dreamy look on his face when thinking about him. I thought I lost him!”

“That’s mutual then!” Jaehyo joins in, “You know, Minhyuk have a hard time concentrating on the lesson because he keeps thinking about Kyung and how he would always leave us in the dust when it’s club time -“

The two keep chattering with each other, unknowingly going back home, talking non-stop with each other.

There was a cough beside Minhyuk and it took Kyung a while to remember that Taeil is there with them. “So, I’ll get going then.”

He simply said before he turns and head back with a tall first year following him. When they turn to a corner, Kyung catches them locking their arms together.

“So..” Minhyuk looked over to Kyung. “Wanna come over to my house?”

“Mansion, to be more precise.” Kyung tease; earning a pinch on his hand. “I would love to. But why so sudden?”

Minhyuk smile at him, leaning close till he could kiss Kyung’s lips. “Because I want you to hear this piece I wrote for you.”
That evening, Kyung spend his time at the Lee household, whisking himself to the melody of Minhyuk’s piano
