I hope introductory posts are okay...I've been searching for ages for people to discuss this series with. xD If this isn't allowed please feel free to give me a good smack on the knuckles.

Anyway, hello, I'm Chey. I just started reading the Nightrunner series under the recommendation of someone on a literary critique comm and I fell in love with the ( Read more... )

Hi there,
I felt the same way when I read LitS the first time, I also went straight back to my PC and ordered the other two :D
So, I wish you a lot of fun with those as soon as you get them ^^

Yeah, I know what you feel like. When I was waiting for the fourth part, I was literally waiting at the door every time the mail came and then for some reason I still don't know, they gave the package to our neighbour who thought I wasn't at home, so he kept it and forgot to bring it to me until his wife - luckily - reminded him a day later o0.

So, I cross my fingers for you to get them then, so you can have a nice week-end reading Nightrunner ;D

Welcome!

Haha, I know exactly how you feel! I love it when I discover a new book, often one picked up on a whim, and experience that revelatory moment when I know I've found a new obsession. I discovered Lynn Flewelling's books a few years ago now, but they still have that power over me, and waiting for one of her new releases still makes me ridiculously excited. And yes, waiting for the sequels drove me mad the first time I read the series, even though I only had to wait about three days for each.

Your dream made me laugh out loud. Why don't I have dreams like that, dammit?

While you wait for the rest of Nightrunner to arrive, maybe you could try Lynn's other series, The Tamir Triad? It's quite different from Nightrunner, but it's still amazing. The first novel, The Bone Doll's Twin, has been my favourite book for years - which is saying something, because picking favourites among the books I read always makes me feel oddly guilty. :p ( ... )

It was a great moment. You're so lucky that you only had to wait three days! It's been two weeks so far since I ordered the others in. ;_; I'm on the edge of my seat hoping they arrive Friday.

xDD It was a very fun dream. Part hilarious and part adorable. In it, Seregil was scared because Alec had just confessed that he loved him, so for whatever reason he turned into a mouse to try to escape, and Alec was running around chasing him and yelling about how him running away wasn't going to make his feelings stop. So cute. x3

Thanks, I may check it out. =) In the meantime, I have to go get myself a Nightrunner icon or two...!

I come and go from book forums everywhere. I have yet to find one where I would feel free to speak my mind. I just finished The White Road. I reread the entire series from the beginning to catch the feel of it again. I felt so sad when I finally finished. I want to stay in the Nightrunner Series for years and never bob up for air! Oh, well, now the struggle to find something else to catch my fancy.
