I was at work today, discontent as usual but sputtering through the shift in a rare upbeat mood. Laurie was bitterly cranky, and April was clearly upset about something. I figured she was just being her normal bitchy self. Well, as it turns out she has a very good reason to be upset. And so do I. April was going through her timecard for the week -

Without question, this is illegal. She might think she has some sort of good "reason," but it is illegal, and should be reported to her supervisor immediately, by both of you. This is why I have always recommended keeping a copy of your time card and comparing it to your paycheck each paycheck. One time, it might be some sort of mistake (although shortening your pay is stealing from you, no two ways about it). Twice, it is theft, and on purpose. Period. I'm sorry, Honey. It is hard to find out that your "friends" are ripping you off, and harder still to find that they are lying to you, but this needs to be addressed immediately.

What Raven said. As upsetting as it is, you gotta deal with this professionally and calmly. Maybe she had orders from on high to do this stuff. Who knows? Maybe somebody else is signing her name. Maybe a lot of things. But no matter, so long as your clocking in and out is within your posted schedule and you didn't violate policies on overtime or lunch periods, then they can't change your time card to cheat you of money. Hand her a written request for your previous timecards as well, and be firm but polite...it's business. Good luck.
