I'm jumping off the edge and being a little bit rebellious. I have an appointment to get my first tattoo today. It'll be small, a crescent moon, probably somewhere on my hand. Although, I might need to move it if I'm going to be a teacher. Details.

Yeah. Hand tattoos are generally a bad idea, no matter what job you want. A lot of people have problems getting jobs with tattoos below their elbows...and that's especially strict with teachers.

A tattoo on your hand will pretty much nix any professional job you'd like to have.

If you're going for any sort of professional or teaching job, I'd suggest you get it somewhere more easily covered by clothing/hair. I still need to get my tattoo... plan for that's just below the shoulder.

I got it on my wrist where it will be covered by my watch. It's not big, maybe an inch big, and in really light blue. It won't be noticable at all. I love it.

Yay Manders!!!!

BTW how did it feel getting it on the wrist? I want to get a snowflake on the wrist, but I"m curious to know how others thought it felt painwise.

Yay tattoos! Be warned, they can be addicting...

Oh honey, it was ridiculously painless. Well maybe not totally painless, but it was a more annoying kind of pain than an all out OW sort of pain. It was incredibly minor and not even that note worthy. Go for it! I'm terrified of needles, but this was awesome! I just need to hide it from mum..She doesn't know I got it. Oops!
