Okay, so I'm turning over a new leaf. Or an old one. At this point, I'm honestly not sure. But I am actually going to update this thing on a regular basis now and read my flist regularly ... plus class and work and everything else. What is this productive madness ( Read more... )

Best of luck with comics on filesharing networks. You might have to find a board with a trading community. Which titles are you going to be reading?

Deferred assessment sucks, I'm still waiting on a result from an exam I sat a month ago.

Equal opportunity law sounds somewhat interesting (more interesting than criminal and property law, at least). I guess studying them all together would give you a much richer understanding of socio-political issues that need addressing. Is there a big social justice streak to the unit?

Happy birthday, by the way; sorry to hear about your car.

I've been reading Booster Gold, Robin, Blue Beetle, Young Justice and that short series Tales of the Unexpected, but not really a lot else. Marvel bends my mind in weird and kind of confusing ways, so I've been sticking with the DC stuff and hoping that it doesn't hurt me some more. Also, using a lot of wiki so that I actually have some clue of what happened in some storylines. Because wow it is confusing otherwise ( ... )

I haven't really been able to get in to comics since I saw it destroy the wallets and bank accounts of friends of mine. All my money was soaked up by "Magic: The Gathering" cards. Once in a while something interesting comes along and I'll have a look for it on a filesharing network. Superman: Red Son was brilliant, as was "Tales from the Bully Pulpit" (a one issue comic about Theodore Roosevelt and Thomas Edison travelling through time to defeat Hitler's grandson and save the people of Mars; pure awesome).

I've been waiting so long because the lecturer went on holidays and is yet to come back. Not happy! I had deferred assessment because I fell off my bike on a wet driveway while getting ready to park and walk in to the exam. You?

Small cohorts rule; thinking can be done that's not directly examinable. Good to hear that lawyers are being trained in the social aspects of the law rather than just Ambulance Chasing 101 ;)

I am very cheap and most of the series I read aren't in TPB form anymore, so what I do is download. I have a few friends who go "hey, you should read this" and slowly they are turning me into an online comic geek. Added bonus is that I can fill my bookcase with books and not have to worry about tiny, tiny issues. Except for the ones that come out recently, then I do have to buy those. It's sad ( ... )

Loev comics. I recommend either completorrent.com or rapidsearch.com to find comics. o/ And I suggest "Extremis" and "Silver Surfer Requiem" for reading, cuz they're REALLY GOOD but kinda chock-full of spoiler-ish stuff. And go read Nextwave. I even ULs of it. You know you want to. >DDD

I've got Nextwave! subservient wouldn't speak to me until I downloaded it, so I thought it was a good idea to. I just haven't read it -- I need to be in the right mindset to properly appreciate a pure comic book where the characters hit things until they explode. >D I'm trying to find downloads of Birds of Prey because I'm told that's good, and possibly Teen Titans so that I can hurt people with it.

I just have and ... Warren Ellis is a strange and wonderful man. If I make icons from it, it is not my fault, just sayin'.

BUT WHAT ELSE IS TEEN TITANS FOR.
