Two things

One: just to prove something to steve:
Pick one- LA Woman by the doors, or Tiny Dancer by Elton John.

(I understand these are two competely different songs, but there is a whole story behind this, and if you want it, I'll give it to you. If not, just pick a song)

Two: I'm going to see Lynard Skynard tonight ( Read more... )

well, i love both elton and the doors so i'll say my peice.

i love both songs but i'm gonna say right now i'm extremely biast towards "L.A. Woman." the feeling i sorta get from both of those songs are that of someone (most likely a girl) who wants to bust out of there squalor lifestyle and live a grandiose life of excess. i feel that expression of pure existentialism (almost nihilistic) is more thoroughly and vibrantly presented by the doors. elton has lived a life of excess and grandiose scales of it, but jim morrison did it to the grave.

i don't think i'd wanna turn out like either elton or jim if i could do something similar to what they do. i think it just leaves us at the ultimate question...

is it better to burn out or to fade away????

(ps. i realize you are prolly asking for the opinion of the other steve you know much better then me. i just wanted to throw my two cents in.)
