Getting things done....
I've booked a room for Anime Milwaukee. Finally.
SO, here's some basic details for those of you who might be joining us at Anime Milwaukee. Firstly, Larissa and I will not be selling art there. We honestly kept forgetting about the paperwork, sooooo... YEAH. Whoops. Oh, well, I like being the table helpers for the artists I'm going with. And honestly my favorite part of conventions is hanging out in a hotel room with friends. It's why Larissa and I like our Birthday celebrations in a hotel room. XD SO YEAH. No art will be sold by us. Which is okay. I'm still pretty self-conscious about my art. I don't know if anyone will buy it. SO SHRUUUUUG~
But, despite that, we're still planning on attending. Mostly because Dezi will be attending and will (as far as I know) be staying in the room with us. So, we've booked a room.
I got the special convention rate at the Radisson, which appears to be $77 per night. Manageable considering the normal room rate is over $100. They gave me an estimated cost of $176.48. That comes out to $58.83 per person for 3 people and $44.12 for 4 people. Just in case we get another person in the room, it'll be $32.30 for 5 people. The room itself is a standard 2 double beds, non-smoking. There's hi-speed internet available, but it's probably not free. There's also a pool, apparently, but I dunno if anyone will want to swim. I probably won't. XD
Now, one of the things is that the special room rate only applies to Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Therefore, I only booked the room for Friday and Saturday nights. I know that's not ideal for those of you who'll be selling since I know you need time to prepare. But I didn't want to book for Thursday night and spend another 100 dollars or so. So, I hope that works for you! My thought was that we could all spend the night together and leave from someplace to carpool/caravan to Milwaukee together. And we'll probably have to get an early start. Luckily, Milwaukee isn't that far away. So, I think we're good in that respect.
Okay, now for some general details:
Anime Milwaukee lasts from March 12 to March 14. The three day pass for non UWM (which is probably UW Milwaukee) students is $30 at the door. I didn't pre-reg, either, so that's what Larissa and I will be paying. XD;
So! The reservation can be changed, of course. And we can probably fit 5 people in the room, so I guess I just need to know who is or isn't going. Mostly, I need to know if you're still thinking you want to go, Megzie. And if you want to go, does Cris want to join us? And to Dezi, are you still okay with being in the room? Let me know asap so I can mess with things if I need to.
