go skyward missile!

while this update isn't necessarily my area of expertise, i've been thinking about it and i feel it is my obligation to do you all a disservice by giving my opinion.

unless you're a dummy, you've heard about the northwest mechanic strike. obviously this is linked to the union...which is what i'm whining/talking/opinionated about. i know why unions exist, and i think on the whole (preparation h feels good) they are good...for lack of a better term.

but, this is my problem. during difficult times, sacrifices must be made, which is what unions seemingly refuse to do. i'm not sure if i speak for others...but i would rather take a paycut at a job i'm unhappy with and deal with the problems later rather than not get paid at all. there's no logic to it. i don't care about the business and political mumbo jumbo that some may throw at me for this opinion, because in the end that's all it boils down to.

I.E. - a pseudo convo with my manager

me - i want a raise fool, i'm only making 7.50 and i want 8 an hour, gimme gimme!

manager - sorry but sales have been shitty lately, we don't have the budget for it.

me - hmm...while i may not agree with what you say, i'd rather be paid $7.50 less than what i make now versus 50 cents less than $8/hour. good day sir!

any thoughts and/or opinions of your own are always fun to read, even if this is a stupid post.
